It’s time for change….

Latest News

As Autumn approaches we are reminded that it is time for change…. we can see it beginning in the environment around us – the days are getting shorter, the mornings are getting cooler up here in the Macedon Ranges, and some autumnal colours are starting to appear.

I love being reminded by nature to flow with it’s rhythms – Autumn Equinox falls on March 20th this year and offers the perfect time to pause and reflect on nature’s cycles.

Key words for this phase include: letting go, release, transform, balance and gratitude.

In the past I have gone into more detail about the cycles in my newsletters, so you can read up on them here if the written word interests you, but this year it’s time for change and instead I will be releasing a guided mediation on YouTube for each of the major phases.

Please click here to access the latest release where you can discover more about the themes of the Autumn Equinox and listen to a guided meditation to help you come back into balance at this time.

Don’t forget to like and subscribe to be automatically notified of any of future releases. 💜

Wishing you a gentle time of balance and transformation just now. xx Michelle

IT’S NATIONAL KINESIOLOGY WEEK!

National Kinesiology week falls on 10th – 17th March

What is Kinesiology?  This is never the easiest question to answer!!  Mostly because kinesiology makes use of the muscles as an interface to the energetic systems of the body.  Essentially Kinesiology uses muscle monitoring to ask about a person’s well-being and health.

Also known as “neuro-muscular feedback”, pressure is placed on a muscle to get a response from the client’s nervous system to access their subconscious and what is stored within their body and energy systems.  This allows the practitioner to gain information from the client that is beyond their conscious awareness.  The muscles are then used as a guide to uncover areas that are out of balance and causing stress for the client.  Muscle monitoring not only reveals what is causing the stress, but also what the body needs to help re-establish its natural energy flow and create balance once again.

Muscle monitoring evolved in the early 20th century when it was used by an orthopedic surgeon called Lovett to gauge the level of disabilities in cases of nerve damage and polio.  In 1949, Kendall and Kendall published some follow up work, which came to the attention of Detroit chiropractor Dr Goodheart in the early 1960s.  Dr. Goodheart was able to support a deeper level of healing with his clients through using muscle tests and discovered a link with Traditional Chinese medicine and Chiropractic techniques, developing a system called “Applied Kinesiology”.  In the 1970s, Dr John Thie developed “Touch for Health” from this work, which opened these techniques to the general public.

Kinesiology is a very holistic approach to health and well-being as it looks at the body as an integrated whole.
